Concentrating milk at the farm

Concentrating milk at the farm

Watercycle reference

By concentrating milk at a farm, pure water is extracted from the milk by 50%. This results in less storage, transport and processing. Additionally the water can be reused at the farm.

We developed an unique membrane process which concentrates raw milk at the farm by extracting pure water. The quality of the milk and all its valuable components are being preserved. This results in less storage at the farm and water reuse (drinking water, cleaning or irrigation). Less transport as only half of the volume needs to be transported this also affects the CO2 footprint. And at dairy factories the process can be more efficient (powder, cheese, yoghurt).

It can create a higher value for the entire dairy sector.
